The first 12m offshore race boat designed by Rob Shaw, build by Craig Partridge Yachts.

Design Objective: to maximise the performance potential of a 12m offshore monohull, with the capacity to sleep a full crew and with a usable interior. This is a versatile boat, set up for high performance racing either short-handed or fully crewed, both harbour and offshore. Blink is built with racing in the infamous Cook Strait in mind, with robust construction and systems, foam core, and options chosen with the wisdom that 'to win you must first finish' in mind: twin rudders, twin hydraulic rams, and dual hydraulic keel power sources (electric and engine pumps).

Interior painting done

Pics from last week.

Cutout in top of bench for Waeco fridge, other cutouts including the big one nearest to the camera for access to keel hydraulics etc.  That's Craig's wife Leigh doing a great job of accessorising the lovely interior finish.

Carbon twill bulkhead, has ended up being our 'feature wall'.  Works very well with front cabin black walls and white floor.  There's more carbon twill on the way too, eg door to heads.

Just cut off at the left side of the pic is the stbd speaker box enclosure, these are staying as black clear-coated carbon.   Companionway steps looking even more rustic now.

Stbd quarterberth, just enough white in here for decent visibility in poor light, but should be dark enough for sleeping when off-watch.

stbd chart table area, and heads interior (no door yet).
